Violence and insecurity in Central America must be seen as a consequence of deeper, structural problems and not as their cause. Watch this video project by CIDSE, CIFCA and Grupo Sur, addressing some recommendations to the European Union (available in EN-ES-FR)

With the objective of raising the awareness in citizens and civil society on the issue of “citizens’ security” (seguridad ciudadana) in Central America, CIDSE, CIFCA and Grupo Sur have produced this short animated video addressing violence and insecurity in Central America and emphasizing the need to tackle it from an integral point of view and as a consequence of deeper problems that must be solved (poverty, inequality, corruption, impunity, etc.). At the end of the video some recommendations are addressed to the European Union. Enjoy the video and thank you for sharing it widely.
