Real commitment to fight climate change requires an internal journey and reaching the understanding of what each of us can do with our unique way of being. Sharing experiences of activism with others can help unlocking this process and connect the dots between personal commitment and its systemic repercussions. Madalena Meneses in this blog shares her experience at the international Agora of volunteers organized by the Campaign “Change for the Planet- Care for the People” on the sidelines of the climate change conference COP 24.

The people’s Energy to Change fills the big screen on the sidelines of COP24

The documentary 'Energy to Change' premiered on 7 December to a crowd of 150 people. Among the audience were activists from Polish civil society, climate pilgrims, grassroots organizers, indigenous community members, and COP24 party representatives from across the world.   

End of COP 24: more solidarity and equity is needed to face climate change

The COP 24 UN climate talks in Katowice, Poland, end today, after two weeks. Negotiators at the conference had the task of drafting the “Paris Rulebook”, the critical next step in the implementation of the Paris Agreement adopted 3 years ago.
