Avec l'appui du CCFD-Terre Solidaire, le syndicat des paysans indonésiens rassemble aujourd'hui plus de 700 000 membres. Et les combats remportés sont considérables.

Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for people living in hunger in developing countries, 50% of whom are smallholder producers, a further 25% are workers in the food industry, and others include indigenous and forest dwellers. The importance of this sector to hunger reduction and poverty alleviation should not be underestimated. The kind of investment needed, however, is an issue which is currently at the heart of many international policy debates on food security and nutrition.
