Event Details

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) cordially invites you to the press conference unveiling the results of the Living Laudato Si’ in Europe survey, a first-of-its-kind initiative conducted.

The Living Laudato Si’ in Europe survey was conducted in collaboration with seven Catholic universities. It encompasses data from various episcopal conferences and over 280 projects, providing a comprehensive overview of Laudato Si’ initiatives across Europe.

Coinciding with Laudato Si Week 2024, the online press conference will serve as a platform to debut the survey’s key findings and conclusions for the first time.

The online event will focus on two primary objectives:

  • Presentation of survey results: Unveiling the key findings and conclusions of the Living Laudato Si in Europe survey;
  • Showcasing inspiring initiatives: Highlighting some of the most inspiring practices and projects identified by the survey.

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance aims to adapt the comprehensive approach of the Encyclical Letter Laudato Si’ and related Church teachings to a European context with a special focus on the institutions of the European Union.

The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) is a network of Catholic organisations working together to bring the encyclical letter Laudato Si’ to life. Founded in 2019, it is currently composed by seven members. They are: Caritas Europa, CIDSE, COMECE, Don Bosco International, JESC, Justice and Peace Europe and the Laudato Si’ Movement. ELSiA intends to promote ecological justice and the social teaching of the Church as a shared and coordinated commitment of Catholic Alliances.
