“No Other Land” Documentary Screening

Event Details

In a moment of profound significance, the documentary No Other Land – co-directed by Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers – was awarded the Oscar for Best Documentary Film at the 97th Academy Awards. The documentary was proudly supported by CIDSE member organisations Broederlijk Delen, CCFD-Terre Solidaire, Entraide et Fraternité and Misereor

Released in 2023, No Other Land offers a deeply moving and unflinching portrayal of Palestinian lawyer and activist Basel Adra’s struggle against the systematic destruction of his home in Masafer Yatta, West Bank by Israeli settlers and military forces. The film also tells the story of an unexpected friendship between Adra and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham, who, despite the stark inequalities between them, stand in solidarity in the fight against the Israeli occupation and for justice for Palestine.

CIDSE, European Jews for Palestine and S&D MEP Hana Jalloul are co-organising a screening of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land at the European Parliament on Wednesday, March 9th.

As part of this event, the S&D MEP Hana Jalloul and co-director Basel Adra held a press conference on Monday, March the 7th, at 14:30.
