On 9-10 September 2014 , CIDSE held a workshop with 70 participants coming from our 17 member organisations in Europe and North America, together with grassroots activists from our partner organisations in Brazil, Peru, India, Thailand, Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Zambia.
Following up on a first workshop organised in May 2013, this event was an important milestone in our work on transition and alternative pathways in food systems, in climate, energy and extractives, and in economic, social, cultural and gender equity, with their implications for social and ecological justice in our societies.
CIDSE, through work with our member organisations, their constituencies, and partners in people’s movements, civil society and research institutes worldwide, is continuing to contribute to challenging assumptions on growth, development and consumption, as an actor for a sustainable future.
