The 5th Session of the Open-Ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises with Respect to Human Rights will take place in Geneva from 14 to 18 October. This is a decisive moment for the process towards shaping a UN Treaty that can bring value to global efforts towards preventing adverse human rights effects of business activities and providing access to justice for affected people and communities. As for the previous years, a CIDSE delegation will be present in Geneva with partner organisations. The CIDSE contribution to the revised draft of the Open-Ended Intergovernmental Working Group will be the basis for their lobby activities.
