NEW: After COP30 — The World Cannot Ignore Belém’s Call for Climate Justice, CIDSE press release, 23 November 2025

CONTEXT
After years of COPs in countries and contexts that did not allow for the full participation and mobilisation of civil society, the UNFCCC Climate Change Conference (COP30) will take place in Brazil from 10 to 21 November 2025. Great expectations are being placed on this upcoming gathering in the symbolic location of Belém, close to the Amazon region and indigenous communities at the forefront of climate action. For the first time in years, a People’s Summit will be also organised from 12 to 16 November. CIDSE will be present in both spaces. You are invited to check our dedicated page on activities in Belém outside the official conference.
