Faith actors working on climate justice – CIDSE

Faith actors working on climate justice

The Poland Experience – Special Issue 2014 (available in English and Polish)

On the occasion of the UN COP19 climate negotiations (Warsaw/Poland, November 2013), CIDSE actively engaged in advocacy work with the international community and with Polish civil society actors, Catholic development agencies, academic and international civil society representatives. One of the highlights was an international conference in Warsaw entitled “Faith actors working together for climate justice”, co-organised with Caritas Poland and the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University.

In collaboration with Tygodnik Powszechny – a Polish Catholic weekly magazine, a series of articles was published after the conference, on the question of climate change viewed through a faith-based and global justice lens. This paper is a collection of these articles and aims at building on the dialogue initiated around the COP19 talks in Poland.
